EN 13501-2 : Fire classification of construction products and building elements - Part 2: Classification using data from fire resistance and/or smoke control tests, excluding ventilation services.

This document defines the classification rules for construction products and building elements based on the results of fire resistance, fire integrity, or smoke control tests and, where applicable, mechanical tests, within the field of direct application of the corresponding test methods. It also covers classification based on the extended application of test results. It applies to loadbearing elements, with or without a compartmentation function, fire protection systems for building structures, non-loadbearing elements, fire-protective wall and ceiling coverings, as well as associated components (doors, closures, penetration seals, ducts, grilles, service ducts, etc.). Lift landing doors tested in accordance with EN 81-58 are excluded, whereas lift landing doors tested in accordance with EN 1634-1 are classified in accordance with this document. Clauses 2 and 7 list the applicable test methods.
