EN ISO 19650-4 : Organization and digitization of information about buildings and civil engineering works, including building information modelling (BIM) - Information management using building information modelling - Part 4: Information exchange (ISO 19650-4:2022).

This document specifies the detailed process and decision criteria for carrying out the information exchanges required by the ISO 19650 series, in order to ensure the quality of the project or asset information model. It implements the concepts set out in ISO 19650-1 and applies to all exchanges during the delivery phases of ISO 19650-2 and the operational trigger events of ISO 19650-3. It concerns assets of any size and complexity, with proportionate application. The phrase “shall take into account” introduces matters to be considered in relation to the main requirement; the effort, time, and supporting evidence required depend on complexity, experience, and any national policies. Matters that are not relevant may be disregarded for simple assets.
