EN 13241 +A2 : Industrial, commercial, garage doors and gates - Product standard, performance characteristics.

This standard specifies performance and safety requirements - excluding fire resistance and smoke control characteristics covered by EN 16034 - for manually operated or power-operated industrial, commercial and garage doors, gates and barriers intended to provide safe access for goods, accompanied vehicles or persons. It also covers shutters, commercial grilles and integrated pedestrian doors, but excludes doors for locks and basins, lifts, vehicles, armoured applications, animal enclosures and theatres; power-operated pedestrian doors covered by EN 16361; revolving doors; and railway barriers or barriers intended exclusively for road traffic. It does not cover electromagnetic environments beyond the scope of EN 61000-6-3, radio equipment subject to ETSI standards, or specifically address stored-energy doors, escape routes or noise. It also applies to manual doors subsequently converted to power operation and specifies additional commercial performance characteristics. Its application to load-bearing doors is voluntary. Annex ZA excludes these last two cases.
