EN 13813 : Screed material and floor screeds - Screed material - Properties and requirements.

This standard specifies the requirements for screed materials intended for use in internal floors, as defined in EN 13318. Focusing on product performance, it addresses manufacturing methods only where necessary to describe product characteristics. For fresh screed materials, it defines performance requirements relating to working time, consistency and pH. For hardened materials, it covers, among other properties, compressive strength, flexural strength, wear resistance, indentation resistance, resistance to rolling loads, impact resistance and chemical resistance, as well as surface hardness, shrinkage, swelling, modulus of elasticity, bond strength, reaction to fire, and acoustic and thermal performance. It also establishes requirements for conformity assessment and marking. Structural screeds that contribute to load-bearing capacity are excluded. This standard may supplement national requirements applicable to screeds manufactured and laid on site by the same contractor.
