This standard governs the execution of cast-in-place bored piles and barrettes, concreted in a single operation, which transfer loads and/or limit deformations. It covers circular piles and rectangular, T-shaped, L-shaped or similar barrettes, with a uniform cross-section, telescopic shaft or excavated enlargements. It applies to: a depth-to-width ratio ≥ 5; piles with diameters ranging from 0.3 to 3.0 m; barrettes with a width ≥ 0.4 m, a length-to-width ratio ≤ 6 and a cross-sectional area ≤ 15 m²; and precast elements with a dimension ≥ 0.3 m. Inclined elements require n ≥ 4 (Θ ≥ 76°), or n ≥ 3 (Θ ≥ 72°) when permanent casing is used. Enlargements shall comply with DBB/D ≤ 2 or 3, depending on the ground conditions, DBE/D ≤ 2, and m ≥ 3 or 1.5. The standard applies to isolated piles, pile groups and retaining walls, excavated continuously or intermittently, with stabilisation where necessary, provided that the specified cross-sections can be constructed.
