EN ISO 52120-1 : Energy performance of buildings - Contribution of building automation, controls and building management - Part 1: General framework and procedures (ISO 52120-1:2021).

This standard specifies a structured list of building control, automation and technical management functions that contribute to energy performance. These functions are classified into categories and structured according to building disciplines and the field of building automation and control (BAC). It also defines a method for establishing minimum requirements or any other specifications applicable to the implementation of these functions in buildings of varying complexity, with a view to improving their energy efficiency. In addition, it presents a factor-based method for obtaining an initial estimate of the impact of these functions according to building type and typical usage profiles, as well as detailed methods for estimating their impact on a specific building.
