EN 1090-2 : 2018+A1:2024 : Execution of steel structures and aluminium structures - Part 2: Technical requirements for steel structures.

This European Standard specifies the execution requirements for steel structures made from hot-rolled structural steel products up to grade S700, cold-formed members and sheeting up to grade S700 (excluding the scope of EN 1090-4), austenitic, austenitic-ferritic (duplex) and ferritic stainless steels, as well as hot-finished and cold-formed hollow sections. For components falling within the scope of EN 1090-4, the requirements of that standard take precedence. This standard may also be applied to steels up to grade S960, subject to specific conditions. Its requirements, which are independent of the type of structure, cover, in particular, structures subjected to fatigue loading or seismic actions, with provisions depending on the execution class. It applies to structures designed in accordance with EN 1993 and EN 1994, as well as to the welding of reinforcing steel to structural steel, although it does not address the use of reinforcing steel in reinforced concrete.
