The presentation outlines the development of large capsules designed to heal significant cracks in concrete. The presentation discusses the limitations of microcapsules, which are generally effective only for small cracks, and introduces macrocapsules that carry larger volumes of self-healing agents. It details the selection and adaptation of the capsule shell and self-healing agent, along with testing results, showing that these macrocapsules successfully fill cracks up to 1 mm in size, improving concrete's resistance to environmental damage while maintaining acceptable mechanical properties.
