This standard specifies the requirements for the fabrication, installation, and documentation of cold-formed structural steel sections, plates, and structural elements intended for roofs, ceilings, floors, vertical walls, and cladding. It applies to structures designed in accordance with EN 1993, particularly to the sections and plates defined in EN 1993-1-3, and may be used with other design rules provided that the execution conditions and additional requirements are specified. It covers cold-formed profiled-sheet structures primarily subject to static or seismic loads, as well as Class I and Class II sheets. This includes profiled sheets, trays, linear elements, non-welded built-up sections, longitudinally welded hollow sections outside the scope of EN 10219-1, and perforated or micro-ribbed sheets and sections.
