The present study aims to get an overview of different aspects of a timber frame wall with biobased materials. Seven insulating materials were investigated. One of them, the flax insulation, was subjected to deeper characterizations in order to study its durability. Thereafter, some properties (mold resistance, acoustic absorption) of the siding mate rials were investigated and compared to the performances of insulating materials. Fi nally, some LCA analysis comparing the impact of different choices are provided. These results enables to get a holistic understanding of the whole insulated wall.
