EN 13501-1 : Fire classification of construction products and building elements - Part 1: Classification using data from reaction to fire tests.

This document defines the method for classifying the reaction to fire performance of all construction products, including products incorporated within building elements, with the exception of power, control and communication cables, which are covered by EN 13501-6. Products are assessed according to their end-use application. The document distinguishes three categories, each addressed separately: construction products, excluding floorings and linear pipe thermal insulation products; floorings; and linear pipe thermal insulation products. For CE marking purposes in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 on construction products, the designation "NPD" ("No Performance Determined") may be used where no declaration of reaction to fire performance is required.
