This standard sets out the concepts and principles of information management at the maturity stage corresponding to Building Information Modelling (BIM) in accordance with the ISO 19650 series. It recommends a framework for all stakeholders involved in the exchange, recording, version control, and organization of information. It covers the entire life cycle of any built asset, from strategic planning through design, engineering, development, documentation, construction, operation, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair, to end-of-life. It can be adapted to assets or projects of varying sizes and levels of complexity in order to preserve the flexibility and versatility required across different potential markets while taking into account the cost of implementation.
